I don't know where to begin to express my feelings and memories of my 25 year relationship with Frank. He was my Therapist, Teacher and Friend. I miss him and at the same time I am filled with him.
He was one of a kind.... Solid, Grounded, Completely Present in the hear and now. Friends and I would smile and compare him to the Majestic Redwoods. My therapy process with Frank was amazing. I reached places with in myself that are way beyond words. I know this was possible because of who he was. His experience, compassion and presence with me. I am deeply grateful and will remember this process and journey with him forever.
As our Teacher he taught the importance of Contact, Trusting the organism, Following the Impluse, Always looking for the Aliveness in the body and Finding One's True Nature. His contribution to Bioenergetics will be remembered and carried on.
Thank You Frank .... I Love You
Most of you know Frank enjoyed Reading. One of his favorite Authors was D.H.Lawrence. At a recent workshop we gave together Frank gave this quote to everyone.
"This is my creed: For man the vast marvel is to be alive. For man as for flower and beast and bird the supreme triumph is to be most vividly, most perfectly alive.
The magnificent here and now of life in the flesh is ours alone, and ours only for a time.
We ought to dance with rapture that we should be alive and in the flesh and part of the living incarnate cosmos." - D. H. Lawrence

Dr. Frank Hladky used to say that life is a miracle. Through him I have come to believe that, and I could see Bioenergetics as a fulfilling way of living Life and a successful way of helping others. Frank was a giant as a therapist: completely present, fully available emotionally and attuned to the difficulties of his patients. He was able to stay with them and guide them out of their difficulties following their aliveness. He had the gift of healing, and he was a master of contact, capable of real attachment. He trusted the impulses of the body, and the force given by their expression, in a meaningful way. "We grow through relationship", was one of his mottos, and he followed it.
For me, Frank was a role model in times where is rare to see a man of principles, fully alive and with a heart. He was the head of the family... the psychiatrist, the bioenergetic teacher, the rancher and the musician. Above all, a dear friend. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

A truly wonderful man. Thanks to Bob, I got the opportunity to work with him in Alachua three times and saw him individually in Truchas on his ranch. I will miss him dearly and we are all lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him and to have learned from the great master.
The lady who came with Frank back in September of 2010, Diane Goblogge, sent me this website of one of Frank's clients/friends who made a series of videos of Frank working with a client and talking about Bioenergetics.
There is a short video of Frank on the top left of the webpage.

Dear Friends,
Flavia called me last night and she told me about Frank. I am very
sad, very sad. Frank was a wonderful man. I am honored to have had a chance
to meet Frank Hladky and work with Him. What comes to my mind now is
his words while he was giving sessions: "That was then and this is
now". Frank will live in my heart and my memories.
Rest in peace

Su alma descanse en paz ! May his soul rest in peace !
It was wonderful receiving all his wisdom, I am very moved to have lost him. Remember his words: "you are ok" while pat on the back.
THANK YOU FRANK !!!!
Gaby, Venezuela

I never had the chance to meet him, but from what I hear from you, his death is a real loss for the world. Good thing he left his “mark” (his unique and particular one) in so many wonderful human beings.
Love to all of you.
Vero, Mexico
Dear All,
I heard from the ones who were near by when he passed that Frank died peacefully during his sleep. We sense a sadness that feels heavy and grey. But we have to recognise that Frank had the privilege to begin his last journey how he always wanted to have it. Our feelings of loss should stand back behind it.
Frank was an open-hearted great man who helped so many people to live a better life. In this sense Frank will always be with us.
Thank you, Paul

Dear all, we were together working when he passed away. The best way to honour him. I had the chance to work with him in private sessions and in 3 workshops in Alachua. I'll never forget him. My body learned to lean on him, taking care of me with him. I have that memory so alive in my forehead...and helped me to learn, so important to me! All the sessions I've seen from him were so conected to unconditional love! I remember him working and at the same time taking care of his wife... An example as therapist, and as a man. So much love!
He lives here between us, and lives in our practice, as we all recieved through him or learned with him and his gifts. I've just arrived in Buenos Aires after those wonderful days with you. Thanks for opening your hearts to me and let me feel part of you.
Dear Diane... I send you my love and respects. Frank was so close to you! We are with you, in the distance, hugging you!
Love you all, Silvina, Argentina
"The processes of death and birth are very similar. The difference is . . . who is waiting on the other side." We can be confident when it is our time.
Sending love, joy and comfort, Peggi, Florida

Mmmmm....Peggi, I love your words....I love all our feelings....as Frank said "we are alive, we are ok"....From me, just silence...hugs and love for all.

To feel is to live

Just wanted to share some feelings with all. Andrei Gordienko and Heiner Steckel and his wife, and a woman from Poland named Kasia who I was introduced to by Marzena were with him the day that he died. Andrei actually did a session with Frank at 4pm the day before. Kasia recieved much from him working almost every day for more than a year. She also helped him when he suffered minor strokes last year. That connection was brought about by Marzena and her passion for Bioenergetics.
Andrei told me that he passed as would have wanted. He did not want to linger like Dr. Lowen did and have half a life. He was not into funerals or services. Frank was a humble, kind, loving, and deeply spiritual man who was happy to be alive, happy to see the flowers bloom and sun shine. I was fortunate enough to have visited him in March and had the pleasure to cook a lovely lobster dinner that he ate with a lot of pleasure.
I remember the weeks I spent in Truchas, New Mexico where he lived with his first wife Denny, and he would put us to work baling hay and doing the cowboy chores and working on my hitting, by chopping wood in his ranch. I will always remember spending time with when he was not working; just sitting together taking in his wisdom and his simplicity. I remember a talk he gave during our bioenergetic training where he talked about the roles of men and women in relationship. Frank always had a foundation in biology and child development and often pointed to the ways of the aboriginal people as a model for parenting. I welcome the opportunity to share with you the Frank in me with you.

"Dear all of you in Bioenergetics.I am so sorry for Frank passing away. I liked to share with some photos of Frank at his place in Truchas in New Mexico. It meant so much to me stay there. I will always be grateful for chance I had to be there. He was a generous and warm hearted man and it was so easy to love him.

Frank was my 'Rock of Gibraltar' and will be missed and forever loved.
Joy
In working with Frank only one time, I sensed his golden nature... his knowledge... his wisdom. This morning my heart is saddened at the passing of a great man and for those of you whose hearts at once burst with gratitude and sorrow.
I know you love the work... the joy, freedom, wisdom it brings to others and yourselves. My heart loves you and your passing this inexplicable blessing along.

OMG what a blessing it was to have had the opportunity to train with Dr.Frank Hladky on his farm and at Bob Glazers. He was such a powerful presence with deep knowledge and wonderful gentleness. He was a beacon of light and a solid foundation for me as I found my way in Bioenergetics and in life. I will forever hold him dear in my heart as a model of dedication and knowledge to the service of helping others with strength and compassion. The worldis a far better place because of his contribution.
In gratitude always.
Brian
I would like to say how grateful I am to have seen Dr. Hladky at his ranch this February, as well on 3 previous occasions. Working with him in personal and group sessions over these past 6 years was amazingly therapeutic. Frank was always so nurturing and positive, but firm when necessary. His presence alone was very healing. I miss him, but feel very fortunate to have one of his students, Diane Gobrogge, as my therapist.
Bioenergetics has been and continues to be vitally important to me. I believe that it literally saved my life and has helped me find my destiny/bliss. It has also helped my marriage, and hopefully made me a better father. I know that Dr. Hladky's legacy lives on in his students and patients. I hope that we can honor him by continuing to do this work, and pass it on.
Please find enclosed some recent photos from our visit to Coweta in february, 2012.

It was my good fortune that the second bioenergetics session I ever had was with Frank six years ago. I was scared, but he was so present and grounded that I knew I was safe. Every session I had with him from that time onward was always like that. The genius of Frank was that he was patient and kind. I never felt rushed or forced in a session with him. And his touch was so solid and comforting; it always felt like coming home. I can still feel his hand on my back, patting it and telling me, "You're really ok."
He literally saved my family and marriage. I owe him a huge debt. I miss him terribly but am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with him. I will always love him and appreciate how he opened my life to being alive and in the moment.

Hi y'all,
Thank you very much for creating the tribute page for Frank.
He meant so much to so many of us...
Here is my tribute:
In a life so lost in the mind, so lost in mere images of life, so lost in a desperate need for love and for being seen, Frank was so able to show me the Real. Like no one else I've ever met. Gently, firmly, fully he kept calling me back to the body, the world, the real moment which alone really is.
I came to Frank first in New Mexico and then later at the Coweta ranch. In fact I lived at the ranch for half a year, and spent another half year living in Tulsa and working with Frank several times a week.
This work and all of Frank's wisdom, compassion, and caring stay with me and help carry me forward in the work I now do with people via a martial art of peace.
I am sad that he is gone. But his example of such complete living remains with me. And the many gifts he gave me through contact, touch, words, and his present bright eyes and ruddy cheeks will continue to help me to find my way.
I feel grateful as well for the wonderful community which grew up around Frank and his work with us all.
Thank you all for the beautiful things you have shared here.
I hope our paths cross again soon.
With love,
Brian, New Orleans
